After hours of deliberation and discussion at the meeting at BBC, we came to terms to announce a great party. Coming to another year of LACK and to start the season (plus Greg Miller and Pedro's birthdays), we will be celebrating with a cookout. This will be done by LACK for all of you. LACK will be providing food (burgers, hot dogs, salads, etc) and drinks (sodas and maybe only maybe BBC beer)... Please RSVP and let us know if you are vegetarian or something like that so we can get you some cardboard patties.. I mean Veggie patties...LOL This will be a FAMILY EVENT. More information to come.
Sorry, AGAIN... it was brought to my attention that Sunday would be Easter and i could not find a preist to come and bless us all but it seems lots of people has friday afternoon off or so.. so it will start around 2 and it will last till the lights (sun) goes down... again i hope you can rearragange your schedule to come over and have fun....
Also, please be aware that we are closing RSVP on tuesday april 3 at 10 am so we can have ahead count to get us the food....
Quest is confirmed to come over and bring some demo kayaks and some goodies...
RCCK, will come later on the day since they have a previous commitment.
Sounds like a great idea, sign me up as one of those evil vegetarians!
Will there be any paddling? Will there be demo crafts from RCCK or Quest there?
Sorry. The 8th is Easter. I already had plans for this day. Have fun.
Bringing salmon and asparagus to throw on the grill. But I'll probably be arriving later after work due to the date change.
Interesting that the website/meetup asked me about any special dietary needs, (gotta be kidding me)....Yes...Charred animal flesh will do just fine, thank you.
Yes Jim I/we/Quest will be bringing boats. I am taking requests at the SUMMIT if there is a boat we have and you would like to demo it.
jason, kayakpro nemo, epic 18x, and the etain would be nice with a wing paddle.
Thanks Jason. I'd like to know what present equivalents to a Current Designs Squamish might be. I'm true and blue (apt comment?) Valley fan and love my 18' Nordkapp.. and also love the 15'8" Squamish, (which is out of production).
Thing is that the Squamish ...and many have paddled it in our crowd, has been a great boat for me and also complete newbies new to longer boats. I'd like to try whatever you might care to bring along that fits that bill. Thanks.
I will need Gluten Free Tostino Pizza Rolls, but figure they are already on the menu. Blivet.
Jim, the Valley Avocet is my favorite. Moby no Epics, but does have a similar boat. The Rapier 18, 19, & 20. Check those out.
Heather...don't know how to advise you. I'll probably bring a boat along and may do a paddle earlier in the day. Jason, if you might happen to a have an Avocet with, then that would be fun to play with.
BYOB.
